August 27-31

LANGUAGE ARTS 7:
We will spend this week getting to know each other as well as the expectations for Language Arts 7. We will visit the library on Friday for an orientation and to check out library books. All students in Language Arts 7 are expected to have an independent reading book at all times, whether it's their own, from the classroom library, or from the school library. The only homework this week is to get your syllabus signed and returned.

ACADEMIC ENGLISH 9:
We will start off the week reviewing the expectations and policies for Academic English 9. On Wednesday, we will start our first narrative writing assignment, a 30 Word Memoir. We will spend the remainder of the week drafting, revising, and sharing our 30 Word Memoirs. There will be no assigned out of class work this week as long as you are wisely using your time in class to complete work on your memoirs.
