LANGUAGE ARTS 7:
No school Monday.
Tuesday will be spent working on our author's purpose, point of view, and perspective notes at stations. On Wednesday, we'll practice our learning with task cards. Thursday's class will be spent practicing our learning independently and we will begin rotations on Friday. Rotation assignments are due on WEDNESDAY.

  1. "The Teenage Brain Lacks Empathy" - due Wednesday at the beginning of class.
  2. Study Island - Point of View and Purpose in Informational Text - due Wednesday at the end of class



CAREER EXPLORATIONS:
MONDAY: No school.
TUESDAY: Law enforcement & public safety cluster.
WEDNESDAY: Murder mystery.
THURSDAY: Government cluster.
FRIDAY: Create your own government.

LANGUAGE ARTS 7:
Your "Evil, Swirling Darkness" questions are due on MONDAY at the beginning of class. We'll review the answers, then spend the rest of our class time preparing for Tuesday's quiz by using Study Island. ONE Study Island session on Text Structure is due by the end of MONDAY. TUESDAY is a text structure quiz. We'll spend the rest of the period working on a Thanksgiving activity that will take us into Wednesday's class.

TUESDAY: Health services cluster & mystery diagnosis activity
WEDNESDAY: Catch up day!
THURSDAY: Thanksgiving break.

November 18-22

LANGUAGE ARTS 7:
On MONDAY, we will have an open-note quiz using your Text Structure Flip Notes to make sure you are able to identify the definitions and key words of various text structures. We'll work through Text Structure task cards throughout the rest of Monday and on Tuesday as well. (PERIOD 2: On Tuesday, you will be in study hall and will have a photo copy of 8 cards to work on.) Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will take us into text structure rotation assignments which include:

1. Study Island - Text Structure (Due Monday, November 25 by the end of the day)
2. "The Evil Swirling Darkness" (Due Monday, November 25 at the beginning of class.)


CAREER EXPLORATIONS:
MONDAY: Career Cluster: Architecture and Construction
TUESDAY: Architecture and Construction Assignment: Reinventing the Knoebels Haunted House (Both periods will be in study hall today. Your assignment is due on WEDNESDAY at the beginning of class.)
WEDNESDAY: Manufacturing & STEM Clusters - Teddy Bear Chair planning
THURSDAY: No class - Macbeth performance; Period 1: We will have an enrichment activity.

November 11-15

LANGUAGE ARTS 7:
We needed to make a few adjustments to the game plan for this week after working through some bumps in last week. We'll continue working with "The Poppy Lady" from Thursday & Friday and begin our next unit.

MONDAY: No school
TUESDAY: Finish annotating the text and begin moving information to our organizer.
WEDNESDAY: Begin final draft.
THURSDAY: Finish draft; Begin putting together text structure flip notes.
FRIDAY: Finish text structure flip notes; Text structure stations practice.

Your final TDA will be due on THURSDAY. If you are working as you should be in class, you should have no homework. However, if you are off-task, you will need to be finishing pieces of the assignment outside of class.
