LANGUAGE ARTS 7:
When we return from break, we will spend Thursday working on goal setting for the remainder of the school year. Friday will be spent completing a STEM activity to go along with the boat races.

This week, we are tying together text structure and author's purpose with figurative language and rhyme scheme to create holiday greetings for greeting cards. The card and analysis paper are due on WEDNESDAY. The week breaks down as follows:
MONDAY: Brainstorming and drafting greetings.
TUESDAY: Final copy of greetings into cards
WEDNESDAY: Addressing envelopes & tying up loose ends
THURSDAY: Film reviewing all four elements
FRIDAY: Half-day; catch up day.

CAREER EXPLORATIONS:
MONDAY: Hospitality and tourism cluster; finance cluster
TUESDAY: Overview of career research assignment & initial reflection

We'll continue our work with author's point of view, perspective, and purpose this week. Rotation assignments are due on WEDNESDAY. There will be a quiz on THURSDAY and Friday will be spent working on a figurative language review to prepare us for a summative assessment next week.
