LANGUAGE ARTS 7:
Students will take their baseline Study Island benchmark tests this week. This will give us a starting point to measure our growth throughout the year. The remainder of the week will be spent reviewing the concept of tracking the development of central ideas in nonfiction text and writing objective summaries.
CAREER EXPLORATIONS:
This week, students will begin looking at the sixteen career clusters with a focus on agriculture, arts, and transportation. In addition to understanding the pathways within the clusters, students will be participating in hands-on projects in which they design and market a new pizza product as well as create a new mode of transportation. All work will be done in class.
